Eddie S. Winstead III concentrates his practice in general civil law, including:

Born and raised in Washington, North Carolina, he graduated from North Carolina State University and Campbell University School of Law. He served 4 years as an Assistant District Attorney in Lee, Harnett and Johnston Counties, then continued in private practice for 37 years in Sanford.
He has served as President of the Lee County and 11th Judicial District Bar Associations. He is at the end of a nine year term as State Bar Councilor for the 12th District; being the local representative for the State Bar, the regulatory and licensing authority for all North Carolina lawyers. He was also elected to the Lee County Board of Education and was chosen by the Board to be its Chairman after having served on the Board for only 2 years. He was a member of the local advisory board for Capital Bank, and has served on the boards of a number of local non-profit organizations. He is a Certified Superior Court Mediator.
In his free time, he enjoys fishing, reading, cooking and traveling.
